The Russian Interior Ministry has put the IStories editor-in-chief Roman Anin and journalist Ekaterina Fomina on a wanted list.
The Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow arrested the journalists in absentia. Anin and Fomina are accused of spreading “fakes” about the Russian army with the motive of political hatred. Under this article, they face 5 to 10 years in prison.
The case against Fomina became known in January. The pro-Kremlin publication TASS reported that the reason was her investigation, in which the Russian Armed Forces Gefreiter Daniil Frolkin confessed to the murder of a Ukrainian civilian.
